The French shipyard NEEL from La Rochelle builds cruise trimarans, and this scheme has its own logic.:
— the engine and all heavy machinery are assembled in the central building, so there is less pitching
— the cockpit and the cabin are combined into one space, the shipyard calls it Cockloon
— 360° view from the steering position
— According to the shipyard, the cruising speed is about 10 knots, and 200+ nautical miles can be covered in a day.
The NEEL 52 model is in the frame: 15.9 m long and 8.8 m wide.
